The Aude, Cathar Country, is a department from the
Languedoc having Carcassonne (La Cathare) and Narbonne
(La Romaine) as major towns. The department is devided in
7 different regions (see map) which, situated between the Pyrenees
and the Mediteranean, offer a broad variety in fauna
and flora (lakes and sea, garrigue(1), vineyards and
forests) and a préhistorical, Roman and Medieval culture, and also a
large choice of sport facilities. On top you're close to the Pyrenees, Andorra
and the ski resorts, the catalonian towns of Collioure
and Perpignan(La Catalane), Spain and the bigger
